The command will only be accepted on an interface that ISIS sees as
'broadcast'. Does ISIS see that interface as broadcast? If the interface
type is a point to point subinterface, ISIS will not see it as a broadcast
interface.

Hi all,
This is more of a version of code question. On this task it asks for isis
network point-to-point on the spokes going back to r5 that has 2 sub ints
point-to-point to each spoke for clns neighbors relationships to build. The
2 hubs are r3 and r4. My r3 is a 3640 which has the ability to issue the
command on the physical interface s1/0. On r4 my router is a 2621xm, this
is where i cannot issue this command. I have upgrade to 3 different codes
12.3,12.4 all which said on the feature navigator included isis point to
point adj over broadcast media. Yet i can issue this on the fast ethernet
interfaces but not on the serial. Please advise what version of code the
racks are using for this. Take into affect i have a wic-1dsu-t1-v2 in this
router so the normal 12.2.15T(16) ent image for the xms does not recognize
that card.
TIA,
Chad
