I do not see any reason why as-path prepending will not work (if you
use address space from one of your ISP make sure he advertises it
outside of his AS)
I do not know any case in which ISP does not accept as path prepending.
Above is general story.
However may be someone somewhere in the path that override it with LP
but to my knowledge number of such cases is not big.
