Can someone clarify for me the actions taken by storm control when the
threshold is exceeded?

I understand that the default action is to filter the offending traffic,
like broadcast, but what happens
when I specify the trap action? Does the switch still filter the traffic
AND send a trap or just
send a trap.

Setting the action to shutdown is self-explanatory, but if I specify
shutdown and trap, will it do
both?
