Rajib, I put the filter without specifying any interfaces, and obtain the following output:
Switch#sh bridge 1
Br Group Mac Address State Type Ports
-------- ----------- ----- ---- -----
1 0002.16f3.8980 Forward DYNAMIC Vl20 Fa0/11
1 000a.41d4.c9a0 Forward DYNAMIC Vl20 Fa0/5
1 000b.5f29.348e Forward DYNAMIC Vl20 Fa0/14
1 00d0.97a2.ec01 Forward DYNAMIC Fa0/20
1 1111.1111.2222 Discard STATIC -
Vlan 20 and fa 0/20 are in bridge group 1.
Does this output help you ?

Thanks George.
So basically you can filter mac address based on specific interface and if no interface specified then it filter's to/from all interfaces. Right?
Thanks
Raj

Rajib, if you configure the filter on the switch, you can see the following output:
Switch(config)#bridge 1 address 1111.1111.1111 ?
discard Discard datagrams from/to this address
forward Forward datagrams from/to this address
So we can filter to and from the specified interface.
Does that answer to your question ?
HTH,

Hi group
If I want to discard a mac address through int f0/6 would follwoing work
bridge 1 address 0800.cb00.45e9 discard f0/6
Or
bridge 1 address 0800.cb00.45e9 discard
Cisco explians follwoing for interface-id. Address can be reached does this mean it can be discard as well
I have seen many example in cco but all forwad
(Optional) For interface-id, specify the interface on which the address can be reached.
Thanks
Raj
