Joe,
I cant actually access that link but I think I know what you are talking
about. This command is only available
On the 12k or more specifically the 12.0(31)S train. Im looking to
implement that on 7300/7600's but the command wont be
Available until next year on the 12.2 train (bummer but Im well used to it
by now). I think the command is something like
Address-family mdt ?

Subject: BGP Multicast Inter-AS (IAS) VPN
Chapter 7 of MPLS & VPN Architectures Vol. II does a good job of explaining
MDT/MTI mVPN.
Then I started looking over the documentation and found this:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/ps6350/products_configuration_gu
ide_chapter09186a00804556e0.html#wp1027258
There is no RFC for it.
It sounds like - from that above link - that the ONLY time you configure
that address-family is if you want to support Inter-AS mVPN?
Does that sound right to everyone. It's not very clear. The chapter in the
MPLS book doesn't even touch it.
At least that's my understanding of it. Can someone correct me if I'm wrong?
Thanks-
Joe
