John,

hit ctrl-brk when your router is booting up. after you get the '>' prompt,
enter the following commands:

o/r 0x141
i

that will change your config reg to 0x141 and reload your router.
it will bootup using the image on your bootroms (assuming you have some in
the router). try tftp'n the file down from your server within there.

if that doesn't work, copy and paste the issues from your router onto your
reply.

no it does not go to rommon.
the error on the router is something to the effect "unable to contact
1.1.1.1 will try again in 30 seconds".......and then after 3 attempts it
just boots up normally, but w/ an erased config

I am assuming that the router goes to ROMMON mode after it fails to
locate the TFTP Server.
