RE: ip subnets and multiple dialer profiles

Hi all,

I just wanted to add this thought to the issue below. If, in the lab,
you're not allowed to add any additional ip subnets, that might rule out the
use of multiple dialer interfaces if an additional ip subnet is required for
each additional dialer profile.

Any thoughts?

Subject: ip subnets and multiple dialer profiles

Hi guys,

In the limited number of examples I've seen with multiple dialer profiles,
each int dialer is assigned its own ip subnet.

Is this mandatory?

int dialer 1
ip addr x.x.x.x m.m.m.m

int dialer 2
ip addr y.y.y.y m.m.m.m

Assuming this isn't mandatory, can anyone provide an example where each
dialer profile does NOT use a separate ip subnet?

I had considered using ip unnumbered but then I think there would be problem
if both dialer profiles needed to be up at the same time. But, my gut
feeling is there must be some technique available but I just can't think of
it.

TIA, Tim
