Hi all,
Most of you getting close to taking the lab probably know this already but
just in case you don't, there are 2 ways to configure pruning:
1. enable vtp pruning
2. manually specify which vlans are allowed to transit the trunk
I can only come up with one reason to use method 2 instead of method 1 - if
one or both of the switches are in vtp transparent mode.
Besides that one reason for using method 2, can anybody think of any other
scenario's where either method could NOT be used?
