John I would think what really makes a difference is knowing which isdn
types require spids and which ones do not. If you would config a spid
on a switch type that doesn't require one it will lead you right down a
rat hole. I would say just pay close attention to the information you
are provided and don't read into it. If it gives you a spid and LDN
then you know what to do...If you only get an LDN maybe that should be a
clue!!
