If I'm ever given the choice, I would DEFINITELY use v2. Unless something
specifically tells me to use version 1, the benefits of keeping your sanity
with the masks and everything else is great!
Remember though, if not specified, you're able to do whatever you want. I
would just recommend you not make things more complicated than they already
will be!

some clarification - the blueprint for ccie R&S states routing protocols -
RIPv2. Does this mean that I should only use v2 in the lab if there is no
mention of the version ?
