I too have heard of issues when talking to some CCIEs

but I have recently implemented it with 35 sites on ISDN and serial connections
we are using 2 2600's per site, one for the primary connection and one for the backup our friend HSRP is running between them

Before I set it up I made sure the monitored route wasnt visible over the ISDN (I appreciate that the software says this isnt necessary but I felt better not seeing the route that way)

Also I used DDR so I didnt have to bother with dialer maps.

Other than some of the commands are missing (as I am using 12 1 20) it works fine

I am running multilink and CHAP, but I turned off callback -

interested to know if anyone managed to get callback working !!!

I've had pretty good success with it. I think that the biggest thing in a
real-world scenario is making sure your logic is sound and well thought out.
The largest deployment of it that I setup was a 40+ site global FR network
that had ISDN dial backup for each to a head-end PRI. Dialer watch works
flawlessly for them but I really had to clean up their routing process
first.

Perhaps the "bugginess" of it is version related? Too bad the statement
wasn't more specific about the issues...

Does anyone have real world experience with Dialer Watch. I had another
CCIE mention to me that Cisco TAC recommends against using it, stating that
it is "buggy" and has issues. Any thoughts?
