Hi haf,
Without seeing the lab you are working on, and guessing there are a few
minor english errors, I would split the problem into two parts, like this:
Put Loop0 into the appropriate routing protocol:
What is this asking us to do? We need to bring the IP of the Lo0 somehow
into the routing tables on the router.
If there is just one routing protocol, like RIP, then there is no real
problem. Just add it into RIP.
But what if there are two routing protocols? What do we do then?
Well, have a look at your network and think a little about it, and ask
yourself some of the following questions.
Is there a 'core' to my network?
If there is a core part, what is this routing protocol?
Let's say it is OSPF in the core. Do I want OSPF to see these routes as
originating from inside or outside?
Is there some other technology like an OSPF virtual link? If so, then maybe
I would like to have my Lo0 in the area 0.
In the end, you have to make a decision as to where you want to put the
route. :) Fun hey?
Now the second part comes into play. I'm assuming its something like:
'make sure that there is telnet to loopback 0 access from all routers and
switches.'
What does this mean for you?
Well, if there are multiple routing protocols converging on this router,
what will you need to do to make sure the route appears in both routing
tables?
Hopefully that has headed you in the right direction.
Dan
