Hi,
So it is my turn to be euphoric. I passed at my second attempt. The first
one
was two months ago. In my first attempt although I knew the answers to all
of
the questions, I failed because I was disorganized, I made a lot of
assumptions, maybe misinterpreted some questions and jump at the
conclusions.
During these two months I only had a quick review of the topics, but mainly
build a mental checklist and a strategy(like Jongsoo Kim). I tried to be
more
calm, and systematic.
For the newcomers to the group my advice is when you get the questions
1- Make sure that all of the pages are there.
2- Make sure all of the routers and switches have initial configs (I heard
cases where there is no configuration or configuration from the guy that
took
the lab previous day)
3- Take a good look at the topology. Spot the possible redistribution
points
and see if there are any loops. Take a quick note at the underlying IGPs
for
ATM, ISDN and FR and possible configuration issues with those IGPs.
4- Read the questions related to the core parts and then quickly scan the
other questions.
All of these will take approximately 15 minutes. Just try to be calm when
the
guy next to you is typing at the lightning speed :)
I used Internetwork Expert and NetMasterClass workbooks. They are both
good.
They follow the blueprint but they are stronger at some different topics
when
compared to each other.
By the way I have looked at half of the Vol 2 of IEWB. It is fun, I even
laughed when I looked at the solutions to some questions ( No, I'm not
crazy).
