ppp reliable-link

Hi guys,
 
Has anybody seen this before?
 
I have a basic DDR isdn config on both sides of the link.
 
When I use the command, ppp reliable-link on only one side of the link, all
works fine. I can ping, no problem.
 
When I use this command on both sides, pings don't work.
 
Anybody know the explanation for this?
