Tim,
What version IOS are you using.
VRRP was first introduced in IOS version 12.0(18)ST.

Subject: VRRP on sub-interface problem
Hi guys,
I'm trying to configure VRRP on a fast ethernet subinterface but it's not
working.
interface FastEthernet1/0/0.136
encapsulation dot1Q 136
ip address 145.7.136.6 255.255.255.0
end
R6(config-subif)#int fa1/0/0.136
R6(config-subif)#vr
R6(config-subif)#vr?
% Unrecognized command
R6(config-subif)#vrrp ip 145.7.136.245
^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
Any ideas why this is and how I should work around this issue?
TIA, Tim
