Hi Group
I have small question related to ATM SVC layer3 to layer2 mapping.
I was going through IE class on demand and came across the config of ATM SVC under which
1) we define the Layer3 ip address to the interface
2) we define our own layer2 NSAP address to the interface
and then
3)to do the mapping we Map the remote layer2 NSAP with remote Layer3 IP address.
I could not understand why we are mapping the remote layer3 address on remote layer2 NSAP address and not local NSAP address like we do for PVC ?
I hope I am clear.
Thanks
