The example posted by Sean is definitely demonstrate the use of policing and
marking tool.
I think you should be armed with DQoS. This is the one in your "must read"
ccie books.

In your statement it says both of them will calculating be which is
acutally Bc+Be, does that mean I should configure be as 1000, and CAR
and CB will know that excess burst should be 2000???

Just want to confirm, in policing CAR and CB, should I configure be as
2000 or 1000 if I want to have excess burst of 1000 bytes.
