BGP - address family ipv6

Hi guys,
 
When you go into address-family ipv6 mode, I see 2 options available:
 
R6(config-router)#address-family ipv6 ?
  unicast Address Family modifier
  <cr>
 
In the lab I'm doing both options worked.
 
But, can someone comment on why and when I should one option over the other?
