Why not I'll bite... :-) From what I've read and understand... The
link-local address is used for local connectivity in the IPv6 world
and reference the local physical connection between 2 routers. From
what I remember the link-local address is used for local communication
on that link and is not routeable beyond it's local segment. With that
said I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's needed for next-hop
resolution between two routers...
I was also under the impression when configuring RIPng over FR that
you only need a frame-relay map pointing to "link-local" address at
the other not a site-local or a global address...
