Hi all,

I have finally passed the CCIE lab yesterday in Sydney after approximately 1
year of on/off study. When I got back to Perth from Sydney after a 5 hour
flight I tried to check my mail but my DSL line was down. I decided to go to
bed but got the good news in the morning. It only took approx 3 hours for the
mail to come after I finished the lab so I guessed the news might be good.
What a feeling it is to finally pass. I had 3 previous attempts that were all
close but ultimately doomed to failure. I think the big difference this time
was tht I held my nerve and didnt waste any time on any particular tasks. Some
of the key ingredients to success were.....

IE Labs...... The two Brians have done an excellent job on teaching the in
depth technologies. Most of the information covered in the labs is sufficient
to get you through the real thing!!! Special
thanks in particular to Brian McGahan for the encouragement he gave me in the
mock lab review.

IP Expert..... This lab workbook is also a very useful resource. Many
thanks must go to Scott Morris for his regular contribution to this list.
Scott how do you still have such a good sense of
humour after completing 4 CCIE's???? (makes me smile and wonder)

Groupstudy.... This list provides an excellent mechanism for building
knowledge. Many thanks to the regular contributors like Tim, Bob,Mani,
Gladston and Richard.

Jongsoo's checklist...... Jongsoo should become a training
instructor!!!!!!! The checklist is an excellent preparation for the big day.
I see it has assisted a few other
candidates to get over the line recently too .

I certainly hope to stay on the list for the forseeable future and contribute
where I can but for now Im planning a good sleep and a big celebration with
the most appropriate drink for an Irishman (GUINNESS!!!)

Many thanks again to you all,

Ollie.
