Pinging Local Interface

Good afternoon:

Any suggestions for pinging the local interface under this configuration?

interface Serial0/0
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay
no fair-queue
no arp frame-relay
frame-relay map ip 192.1.23.2 203
frame-relay map ip 192.1.23.3 203
frame-relay interface-dlci 203 ppp Virtual-Template1
no frame-relay inverse-arp

interface Virtual-Template1
ip address 192.1.23.2 255.255.255.0

Works great and I can reach across the network without any problems but I
can't ping my own interface, (192.1.12.2). Any suggestions?
