Dear Group and Bruce
First of all, I appreciate most whoever created this wonderful website !
Then, I also apprecaite those who are making this great website alive
everyday!
It is very joyful experience I have gone through this website about 8 month,
most intensively from 29 Feb to 4 April, during which I am sure I was the
one posted the most emails!
I met many great people through this Studygroup and after I frustrated so
much in many of my failures, via this website I was able to truly understand
many emails on other's failure... It is just such a good thing to have this
group study. I can appreciate the great intention and will of the creator of
this website...
I posted some "stupid question in begining" ( Oh I still do that now) but
nobody believed ever the question was stupid but always get some sincere
answer with a good professionalism...
Now, I must share a story that Bruce Caslow found me somehow via my posting
@ groupstudy 10 days before my lab date. He invited me his Saturday studying
in NMC (10:00AM~1 PM). At the study group, I told him I would take the lab
in 10 days. After study that started at 10 AM, he spent about 2.5 hours to
advise me my preparation of lab with skipping lunch till 4 PM. I was hugry
but couldn't tell him to stop ( ^ ^ ). And I was so impressed with that
becasue I know there are not many people who can do that (especially I know
I am not). (hey Bruce, sorry I can't make the lab this coming Saturday
because I will be at Miami with my family :-) His advice was a good truning
point in my prepration of CCIE exam. His instruction or advice changed the
way I preceive the lab, basically since then, I started looking for all the
possibilities about topic.
And Checkit Lab he recommended me was a shock to me when I got 57% on lab 5.
Its enhanced reporting really tells me what's "wrong" with me when I am
doing a lab. I recommed this to those who believe themslves ready to take
the lab. If you are ready, take the checkitlab and you will see what I
meant.
Also, I want to thank Brian at IE for his CD's( I don't know exactly which
Brian, sorry for that) but I got his audio CD( 10 CD) 14 days before the lab
date. I was able to listen 10 CD's more than three times( not including my
listening during 5 hour driving from DC to RTP). To go over all topic
begining to end by reading would take a more than a month. But these CD
worked in 3 days. Of course, you have to already master all the topic
before. You can learn a new topic but it was better for me to review.
OK, last thing I want to sell without any sales commission follows.
When I prepared the lab first time, I figure it would be cheaper to take
CCIE lab 3 times than taking bootcamp paying $XXXX. But here I am I take the
lab 4 times and passed it. I still have no idea how CCIE bootcamp or any
special training does. But if you consider the ambiguous cisco
documentation, this training class would be worthy...
Now this is the priceless!
The best experience was that I was having all the good luck wishes from all
of the world and assistant email replies right before I went to bed to take
the lab next day.( I even checked the emails in the morning on the day of
taking lab... to get a last tips or help from group). This was really some
experience.
Best Regards
Jongsoo
