Hi Guys,
Another small question regarding ospf nssa area.
R2----eigrp11--------R3-------ospf area 20---------R4------ospf area 0---------R5---ospf area 30--R6
In this example my target is to make sure R3 only receive intra area routes a default routes from other ospf areas(say R4)[I will be assuming no IA routes should be in area 20]
MY OSPF CONFIGURATIONS:
============================
R3(config-router)#area 20 nssa
R4(config-router)#area 20 nssa no -summary
===========================
-When above commands are configured, router R3 recevies only "O" routes and "O-IA default route" from router R4.
-My goal is to make R3 receive intra area routes and a default route, so I am on the target. My question is if you configure these commands the generated defalt router(O-IA 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0) is a type 3(IA) is interarea default route. For the question is it acceptable.
PS:I know a method in which you can make a nssa area to receive only O routes and type 7(N2) defalt route(no other IA routes), but I don't want to be over configuring the routers. Any tips/suggestions are appreciated.
thanks
Mani
