Subject: no peer neighbor-route
Hi Guys,
Does anybody know of a scenario where using the above command will cause a
problem?
>peer neighbor-route will make ISDN link flapping if you run an "trigger
method" of IGP over ISDN such as OPSF demand, rip trigger.
When ISDN link is up, /32 host route wil show in route table. But when ISDN
goes down, it will disapera, which will make IGP belive there is topological
change. So it will make ISDN back on again.
Also, can someone confirm that this command should be entered on the same
interface as the ip address. IOW, if logical interfaces are being used
instead of legacy DDR, then enter the command under the dialer interface.
> I think it has to be entered on an interface where PPP command is issued.
Because I think it has something to do with PPP.
I know of scenario's where NOT using this command will cause the isdn link
to flap but I can't think of any scenarios which would be harmed by using
this command.
> I agree.
