Hi group,
Just gone through the 3550-configuration guide on DOCcd.In
the "Configuring QoS" chapter and under the section "Configuring Standard QoS"
they have told that
"You must disable the IEEE 802.3X flowcontrol on all
ports before enabling QoS on the switch. To
disable it, use the "flowcontrol
receive off" and "flowcontrol send off" interface configuration commands."
Before this I have never given this command before giving "mls qos" command.I
haven't seen any refernce to this in any of the other books I have
referred.So is it neccesary to turn off the flowcontrol before enabling QoS ?
If yes, Why? Thanks in advance.
