I've also wondered about this very same question.

I think the answer is No, you wouldn't lose points but I'm not 100% sure
about this.

Here's my reasoning:

If I'm not mistaken, the routers used in the lab don't have a hardware
clock. This means that at the end of the lab when your routers are all
rebooted, any time you've set will be lost.

I've discussed this with a few people but can't say this reply is
definitive.

Maybe a stupid question but I'll ask anyway. If the question is to configure
NTP, would I loose that points if I don not set the time on NTP master
first?
