Hello all,

I am net admin of this network with 500+ nodes. We are using Windows 2003 server as a ISA (Proxy server with 2 NICs which is also doing NATing. We have Cisco 3745 router; no firewall in the picture yet. Now I want to bring in Pix 525 firewall into the picture and run Linux (redhat AS). So squid server will replace the present ISA server.

Now my question is: where should I place the squid server. should it be squid--firewall--then router...or should the squid be in dmz?

Will appreciate any advice.

thanks
