PPP multilink mandatory

Hi all,

  When configuring DDR over ISDN , if a question comes like " Both
B cahnnels should be up regardless of the load" , The answer should be "ppp
multilink links minimum 2 ".
     Then what is the purpose or relevance of
the "mandatory" keyword at the end of the command.Or in the above case the
answer should be "ppp multilink links minimum 2 mandatory".Thanks in advance.
