Hi world,
Well, this is the time for me to write the so wanted email...I passed my
CCIE this past tuesday 15th March at Brussels!!!
What can I say? I wont go into details on the lengthly way of stuyding or
anything of that sort. All I can say is: stay focus during the lab and dont
become nervous. When I took the lab on Tuesday I wasnt at my level best...I
had a stomach upset the night before and spent most of the time going to
the bathroom, and when finally I could close my eyes to sleep it was
already 6:30 am, time to get up.
During the day things didnt go any easier...my mind was telling me to stay
relaxed and think on the lab...but my stomach had a mind on its own and
wanted to visit the toilet as often as it could. I managed somehow to
finish around 2pm and it was time to review...but then I spent more time in
the loo than sitted at my pod. The good thing is that I was thinking about
the configs between the so many "travels" outside and I would change things
when "I had the chance". The proctor just couldnt stop looking at me and I
had to ask him also for an aspirine (now I was feeling cold...then I was
feeling hot...and then I had to go and visit Mr.toilet again)...let4s put
it this way, I finished reviewing just in time to leave.
Anyhow, I went back home (Madrid) that same night. Checked the email and no
trace of Cisco. When I got up in the morning (still with stomach upset) I
checked my email and there it was, the Cisco mail. The email was saying:
"Your CCIE lab score report is now available on the web. The report will
show your performance in each section for the CCIE Lab", so I thought I had
failed again.
So, when I was thinking about not taking the lab ever again, I saw that
15-March Brussels pass...and then I was as happy as you can imagine.
Now, thanks to all you guys that helped me on the way to achieve this by
posting, chatting with me or just being there. Obviuously, thanks to my
family for being supportive these stressfull years and all my friends...you
know who you are.
Thanks also to the guys at Internetwork Expert too...all I can say is that
you gave me the boost I needed to achieve this.
And I would like to dedicate this effort to all those 192 people that lost
their lives a year ago in a terrible and evil terrorist attack here in
Madrid...you guys may not be here in person but we remember you every day
of our lives...you were my 192 reasons to pass.
Sorry for the long post but you only write something like this once in a
life time...unless your name is Brian, so you do it every now and then ;-)
Thanks guys and regards,
Fer
