Andy,
There are two options I can think of:
1. Check out Boson Netsim (http://www.boson.com/netsim/) or Routersim
(http://www.routersim.com/ ). Basically, for a couple hundred dollars
you get a virtual lab you run on your laptop. These products include
labs that introduce you to basic concepts and identify if you make
mistakes. The Routersim package is probably better for someone who has
absolutely no experience, but I recommend the Boson Netsim as the
features it supports will insure you get value out of it for some time
to come.
2. Partner E-Learning (accessed via Cisco's website, you'll see this
website referred to as CCO). The lab central area of this site has
numerous labs that give you topic specific scenarios (and solutions).
The best part is it is free. The problem is you need to have a fairly
high level of access associated with your Cisco website login to reach
this site.
3. Knowledgenet - www.knowledgenet.com - Knowledgenet offers Cisco
courses and labs online. Their labs are canned (done in Flash) so there
is no way to get it wrong (after a couple of wrong answers, the system
give you the appropriate command to move on to the next step of the
lab). This is probably much closer to what you are looking for. The
problem with this option is that you will have to buy the courses to
gain access to the labs (a rather expensive alternative) particularly if
you have already paid for training in May.
Hope this helps. Good luck as you begin your adventure in the networking
field!

Thanks to everyone who answered back on my last message. Maybe I need to
spell out my situation better:
I am going to a CCNP bootcamp in May and will be sitting for all 4
exams. With the limited hands-on experience I have, I need something
that will get me prepared as quickly as possible. The sites that you
guys mentioned seem a bit over my head at this point. Maybe the sites
would work but I think I need something that will walk me through it
instead of "here's the equipment, make it work." Can anyone suggest a
good source for lab scenarios that will give me the steps and allow me
to practice it until I can do it on my own?
Thanks in advance,
Andy Bishop

Does anyone know of a good site for accessing routers and switches
remotely? I don't have regular access to this stuff and I really need to
practice.
