I would change to 10000Mbps (10 GB), which I did on my junipers.
So that you don't have to worry about for a while.

Subject: OSPF Reference Bandwidth
Is it safe to use "AUTO-COST REFERENCE BANDWIDTH 4000"?
I have a (2) WAN 6509 routers that interconnect three campuses running (2)
6513 switch routers.
The link between (2) 6509 routers is 4GB. (4) Physical fiber links as
EtherChannel.
6509s connect to Campus A 6513s and Campus B 6513s via 2GB link. (2)
Physical Fiber links as EtherChannel respectively. Campus C is connected to
650s via 100MB Copper Link.
Six Routers are running OSPF.
(2) 6509s Core Routers
(2) 6513 Campus A Switch/Ruter
(2) 6513 Campus B Switch/router
(2) 6513 Campus C Switch/Router.
The highest bandwidth link is 4GB between the Core routers, and that is why
"AUTO-COST REFERENCE BANDWIDTH" should be changed to 4GB from the default
100MB. Please advise,
Regards,
Richard
