hi guys,
we can "configure" GLBP on int just by hitting enter after "ip"
    router(config-if)#glbp 1 ip <enter>
but if we do so glbp is in fact disabled, there are no AVF and no AVG :

FastEthernet0/0 - Group 1
  State is Disabled
  Virtual IP address is unknown
Hello time 3 sec, hold time 10 sec
Redirect time 600 sec, forwarder time-out 14400 sec
Preemption enabled, min delay 0 sec
  Active is unknown
  Standby is unknown
  Priority 100 (default)
  Weighting 100 (default 100), thresholds: lower 1, upper 100
  Load balancing: round-robin
  There are no forwarders

can someone explain to me what is this "functionality" for , because i can't
understand for what purpose we might skip virtual address ?

thanks,
Mariusz
