Hi, guys, I do the ipv6 lab, found some problems about ipv6 tunnel, everyone who havs a idle?
IOS : c2600-ik9o3s3-mz.123-10.bin
topo: router A's e0/0 connected with router B's e0/0,router B's s0/0 connected with Router C's s0/0
router A's e0/0 :5.5.5.1/24
router C's s0/0 8.8.8.8/24
because of running ipv4 routing protocol.router A and C can ping ipv4 address each other before A and C create ipv4-compatible tunnel .
the following is A tunnel0's configuration
int tunnel0
ipv6 address 2001::1/64
tunnel mode ipv6ip auto
tunnel source e0/0
!
the following is router C tunnel0's configuration
int tunnel0
ipv6 address 2001::2/64
tunnel mode ipv6ip auto
tunnel source s0/0
!
after i configure these,router A can ping ::8.8.8.8, router C can ping ::5.5.5.1.
but router A can not ping 2001::2,also router C can not ping 2001::1
when i used command "debug ipv6 packet ", i found the following alert message.
*Mar 1 08:37:56.398: IPv6: SAS picked source 2001::1 for 2001::2 (Tunnel0)
*Mar 1 08:37:56.402: IPV6: source 2001::1 (local)
*Mar 1 08:37:56.402: dest 2001::2 (Tunnel0)
*Mar 1 08:37:56.402: traffic class 0, flow 0x0, len 100+0, prot 58, hops 64, originating
*Mar 1 08:37:56.402: IPv6: Encapsulation failed.
why router A can not ping 2001::2 ? please internet expert tell me reason, thanks !
