Hey... jokes apart... Lets build up together and give him the BOOOOKSSSS needed to study...

My most favourite and the one which was most useful were Jeff doyle's vol1 & 2 & Carl solie's book...

There are manyyyy more books.. I think others will give their list. Put them together....

Raj

Why don't you get, Cisco TCP/IP Routing Professional Reference, by Chris
Lewis. Isbn 0-07-044088-7

It covers almost all the topics you'll need and goes over all the router
configurations and even covers troubleshooting.

If you thoroughly learn all the material in this book, you should all set.

Actually, I'm just kidding. There is no ONE book which will prepare you for
the lab.

Your question, however, illustrates a startling and complete lack of
appreciation about what's involved in earning a ccie.

Do you, by any chance, have a ccna or ccnp? Did you pass the written?

Go to the Cisco site, look at the ccie blueprint and the recommended reading
list. Then after reading ALL the books on that list, and then some, come
back to this forum and ask about what you need to set up your own lab. And,
ask about which vendor's practice labs workbook is considered the best. (By
the time you're ready to ask about a home lab and workbooks, the lab topics
will have probably changed a few times.)

HTH, Tim
