Did you configure the receiving side with a dialer-idle timeout of 0? If not
then give it a try.

Subject: Behavior of Dialer-watch with OSPF

Hi all,

I have two questions regarding a weird behavior that I have when configuring

dialer-watch with OSPF.

1 When the idle-timeout expires and the watched routes are still
missing, the BRI interface goes DOWN and then UP again immediately. I would
expect that if the watched routes are still missing then the BRI
interface should stay up and never go down??

2 Even when I change the idle-time-out to say 150 seconds, the call will

last only for 60 seconds. I would expect it here to start looking for the
routes after 150 seconds and not 60 seconds.

Are the above behaviors normal?

Regards,

Mark
