After an interminable wait for the final results, I have finally received
the news of passing the lab exam...
CCIE #14388. It's been a long two years; I wasn't even a grandfather yet
when this trek started.
First and foremost, I would like to thank my wonderful, understanding wife
who has endured this journey with me.
As if it wasn't enough to suffer the long separations during my Navy
submarine career (sorry about those long waits on the pier honey), she
withstood those long periods of time when I would slip away into the abyss
of CCIE never-never land. Her confidence in me never faded, and when I was
ready to give it up, she encouraged me to take it one more time, somehow
knowing that would be the one.
Thank you Barbe for being my friend for 30 years. You are my inspiration!
Thank you Sam for your support...those lucky chocolate chippers were indeed
magical.
Thanks to Brian M. and Brian D. for the workbook, the excellent technology
labs, and the rack rentals. It really helps to constantly review the
fundamentals.
Thanks Paul for the GroupStudy site, and to Brian, Brian, Scott, Howard, and
all the other knowledgeable contributors that make GroupStudy such an
awesome resource.
For those of you still on the journey, keep at it, it can be done! Practice
the core to the point where you think like a router, really! :)
Time now to get on with life, and turn our house into a resting spot between
vacations!
Regards,
John Buelk
