Hi

Both will work (assuming your cache engine is configured appropriately).

The 'Web-cache' is merely a short cut to cache only HTTP (TCP 80). You
can use a number instead (1-99) if you wish to cache protocols other
than or including HTTP)

Subject: wccp

Hi everyone,
when the task says to redirect http requests coming into interface
Fe0/0 (with excluding one station) to web cache engine , what is the
difference between these two :

access-list 10 deny 10.1.1.1
access-list 10 permit any

1)
R3(config)#ip wccp web-cache redirect-list 10
R3(config-if)#ip wccp web-cache redirect in

2)
R3(config)# ip wccp 1 redirect-list 10
R3(config-if)# ip wccp 1 redirect in

Does the solution 2 will also work ? Im little confused about the
second
one , what does service # exactly mean in this case ? Is this just a
proces
# ?

Thanks in advance ,

Mariusz
