I have 2x3750s in place of 3550s for my home lab. It is much faster than the
3550s. The workbook's answer that I have pretty much matches up.
One major difference is that the interface numbering.
On the 3550, you'd have fastethernet 0/1
whereas 3750, you'd have fastethernet 1/0/1
and so on.
HTH,
Jim

Subject: 3550 or 3750
Hi all,
Short question, can the Catalyst 3750 be used in my lab as a
replacement for the 3550, or should I stick with a dual 3550 purchase?
Are there any distinct advantages or disadvantages of using one over
the other?
TIA
