And the winner is ....

Dear all.

Cisco gives me a number... I am CCIE since last Wednesday... after
failing 3 times.

I've seen a Cisco router for the first time in 1995. Because of my
predilection to Linux, I've found simple the configuration of those
devices.

Later, in my job, I've practiced Cisco technologies and passed associate
and professional certification levels.

My colleagues make me confident on my skills and I start this long
journey in December 2002.

September 2003: My first attempt. I failed because of time. No strategy,
no real psychological preparation but no regret.

November 2003 and April 2004: I still not know why I've failed....

After this attempt, I've decided to believe what guys said in this group
about IE and NMC.

I bought IE workbook 1 and do labs alone, reading the forum, comparing
my answer and the solution guide. Later, I bought also the release 2 and
pay rack times since just 3 of my routers support IPv6.

Finally, I do mock labs... and this was the key of my success, I am
sure.

I take 2 mock labs from IE and one from NMC. Both are good and I
recommend those labs to every body.

The most important element of those labs is the one to one rendezvous.
This is the time to fix your errors, to understand what the lab is
asking for, to know how the lab is graded.

I don't get 80% score for these labs but after the last one and my
discussion with Brian, I know that I was ready.

I want to thank:

- Indy, the graceful and charmed Indy Teller of NMC

- Askadinov, for making me beta tester for his IPv6 (so hard - level 2)
lab (NMC)

- Brian McGahan: this guy knows exactly what you need to get your
number. His advices and recommended strategy had served me during the
real lab.

- And all guys of this group. Questions posted are always interesting.

Guys, this is a great achievement for a man born in Benin and living in
Senegal!

Now, it is time to restart my life, to retrieve my beloved wife and have
children!!

CCIE #14351

Cordialement/Best regards;
