autocommand-options delay

If anyone wants to take a moment from MQC and complex
route filters I have an issue so simple it's a bit irritating.

Trying to go through commands alphabetically I got to:

autocommand

and (in combination with)

autocommand-options delay

This was in the context of a VTY connection as follows:

line vty 0 4
 privilege level 15
 login local
 autocommand show run
 autocommand-options delay 60
(with a local user configured "username cisco...")

The focus here is on the

Does anyone know if this command actually works?

The ? shows:

3725_Rt(config-line)#autocommand-options delay ?
  <0-120> Time in seconds

I have tried it on 2500, 2600, and 3700 series platforms and various
code.
All with the same result - immediate execution of the autocommand.

No delay (and no evil fun for me)

I have no hang-ups with the "nohangup" option, that works fine.
It's just this delay thing???

At first I was just trying to explore, configuring new things.

Then it occurred to me that by adding up to 120 seconds of delay
could produce some interesting results, and/or provide for
some moderately evil fun at the expense of my co-workers!

This is as trivial as it gets, but sometimes it's the little thingz...

And one more thing - if you have not used this command before make
sure you have a back door and/or use the "nohangup" parameter, as
this will work rather effectively on a console port too, offering only
the
command requested followed by an abrupt end to your session!

TIA,
~M
