75xx doubt

 Hi friends,

I have a very small doubt regarding the architecture of 7500 router.

When I boot 7500 router , it says trying to load the first image from the
disk0: or slot0:

Disk0: has a 7500 ios and boot flash has the boot image.

But the router doesn't boots from ios , it boot from bootimage?

As soon as I configure a bootsystem command , everything works fine.

I have bootsystem command in all the 7500 routers , but my doubt is when I
get a message

" trying to boot from the default system in disk0: or slot0: "

and disk0: has only one image

then why doesn't the router boots from disk0:

why I have to put the boot system command ?

Thanks

Vishal

Anyone with a service contract care to submit a P5 case on this?
