It is a right config. If both area 345 does'n advertise common LSA's ( 3
) the interarea routes work fine. Ii's explained in OSPF RFC's. ( RFC
2328 )
Both areas 345 are attached to area 0, so you do not need a
virtual-link.

area 0 R4 area 345 R5 area 345 R3 area 0
As you can see, area 0 is discontinuous, but even without a virtual-link
from R4 to R3
everything works fine. Can anybody explain that?
