Hey Rick,

Yep, these things can be very tricky.

One reason to use hsrp instead of default-router is because, according to
Brian M. in the IE forum,

Windows based hosts don't accept multple default gateways.

Off-hand, I don't know if that's true for all versions of Windows (95, 98,
Me, 2000, NT, XP, etc), just some versions or maybe

at this point with up to date patches applied, none.

But, whether or not it's true for some versions of Windows, to me it seems
that our needing to know that is outside the scope

(or should be outside) of the lab.

What do you think?
