Unfortunately, I can't tell you anything about NTP control queries. I
started to read the rfc but it soon became
very apparent that to find the answer to that would take a great investment
of time - something I couldn't afford.
The only I can tell you is that the command supports 4 options each of which
can be limited by an acl.
Rack1R5(config)#ntp access-group ?
peer Provide full access
query-only Allow only control queries
serve Provide server and query access
serve-only Provide only server access
I looked up the command in the Doc-CD but the explanations were about as
clear as thick mud.
So, hopefully, if somebody out there in Group Study land really understands
what there options do, maybe they'll see this post
and explain this.
If you're interesting I can explain ntp authentication - although the write
up from IE website does that very thoroughly and clearly.
