Here is an example of a T1 - E1 is very similar.
! first define your physical T1/E1 lines...and put
them into an IMA Group.... I chose ima-group 1
!
interface ATM5/0
description LEC CKT ID. 28HCG....SW
no ip address
ima-group 1
!
interface ATM5/1
description LEC CKT ID. 28HCGS7...SW
no ip address
ima-group 1
!
! next define the parameters you are going to use ont
he interface....that applies to all sub-interfaces...
interface ATM5/ima1
description IMA Group 1
no ip address
no ip mroute-cache
load-interval 30
ima differential-delay-maximum 50
no atm ilmi-keepalive
!
! next define your sub-interfaces...
interface ATM5/ima1.7 point-to-point
description Link to
bandwidth 32
ip address 10.0.2.1 255.255.255.252
no ip mroute-cache
pvc name 1/902
vbr-nrt 56 56 1
tx-ring-limit 3
encapsulation aal5snap
service-policy output 64k-PORT
!
!
as for your timing question - I used the default
timing which is line timing from the provider...that
is preferred...
hope this helps..
