Fei,

To manually configure your IP Phone:

        1. Press the settings button
        2. Option 3 (Network Configuration)
        3. Option 30 (DHCP to NO) **# - to get edit soft key
        4. Option 6 - set IP address of phone
        5. Option 7 - set netmask
        6. Option 8 - set ip address of your tftp server (CallManager)
        7. Option 9 - set ip address of your default router
        8. select save all fields - keep your setting

Reset your phone (remove power, then insert power)
CallManager can be set auto register to get directory number.

HTH,

John

Then reset your phone -

Subject: configure iphone manually instead of dhcp and tftp

Hi guys,

Can I configure iphone manually instead of tftp and
DHCP?
While I'm putting Cisco iPhone such like 7960 in remote
side
do I still use tftp and DHCP to load IP and configure
file.
(While working with non-cisco switch I have the same
problem.)

That's a stupid question but I don't have iPhone in
hand to try.

Thanks!

Fei Xue
