As I understand it, the resiliency and failover is better and automatic
when you use Cisco SRST vs. Avaya's "remote shelf" model. This would
only come into play when you have more than one site. I also believe
the Cisco phones are more versatile with the XML interface.
If I can ask you a question... I have tried to find a good design guide
that shows how to deploy Avaya phones on a Cisco network and cant find
one. Do you happen to have something like this or a link to the avaya
site where it might exist?
Thank you,
Douglas

Subject: Avaya vs Cisco VOIP
I know this might not be the forum to ask this question, But I'm sure
some
of you out there probably may be going thru this. Is there anyone out
there
that
Know's of any "Unbiased" Avaya vs Cisco VOIP benefits / strategy
comparison
white papers. We've got two pilots going and I have to make a
recommendation
soon
Unfortunately both work rather well.
