Sure, here's my set. If you look in the archives for last year I did a
write up on how each command works.

'se top de' is show ip eigrp topo detailed
'so d' is show ip ospf database
'so n' is show ip ospf neighbors

etc

------------------------------------------------------------------------

----

config t

alias exec c config t alias exec s show ip interface brief | e unass alias exec cb clear ip bgp * alias exec ci clear ip route * alias exec co clear ip ospf process alias exec ce clear ip eigrp neighbors alias exec sb show ip bgp alias exec se show ip eigrp alias exec sf show frame-relay alias exec si show ip route | e - alias exec so show ip ospf alias exec sr show running-config | e alias alias exec sbs show ip bgp neighbors | include BGP state alias exec sbn show ip bgp neighbors | include BGP neighbor

Hello all,

I am planning to practice using the alias commands in IOS for shortening some of the most frequently used commands. For example;

alias exec s show running alias exec r show ip route

etc.

Is this allowed in the lab? I do not see any harm in using them during the lab. Has anyone used this in the real lab?

What is the equivalent for PIX?

Thanks in advance, Mohan
