All,
Sorry to stray from the path a little here, but i'm trying to determine
if the my Sup2/MSFC2(in hybrid mode) will support running MPLS in PE mode.
From what I can tell, the version I have currently loaded(Version 12.1(19)E1
Enterprise) will support the creation of VRF's, but when I try to apply
these vrf's to a VLAN interface, it gives me an error(copy&pasted below).
Also the "mpls ip/tag-switching ip" commands do not seem to work as well.
I've heard from others that the MSFC2 does not support mpls tagging by
itself, and you must purchase an OSM to run MPLS with the MSFC2... does this
mean i need to purchase an OSM module? I also noticed that there are MPLS
specific images on cisco's webpage, has any one had success with those? I
am reluctant to load those, as they seem to be Native mode images. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
<error>
CORE-ROUTER(config-if)#ip vrf forwarding test
%This interface does not support ip vrf forwarding
</error>
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
