Hi,

Im looking for a design guidelines in terms of max number of end-users per segment.

Ex.. in an IP/IPX environment, theoretically speaking we can add up to 1024 nodes on a star topology, is this recommended? What about broadcast, utilization rate, chatty protocols, etc

Any networks out there, which has more than 500 users per any given IP/IPX segment? Under what circumstances would I consider adding up to 1024 eusers
